What is a Event QR code?
An event QR code turns a poster or invitation into a calendar entry. Scanning offers to add your event with the title, start and end time, location and description, so people don't forget to show up.
Popular ways to use it
Invitations
Weddings, birthdays and parties: guests save the date instantly.
Posters
Concerts, markets and meetups get added to calendars straight from the street.
Webinars & classes
Put the session in attendees' calendars along with the joining details.
Internal events
All-hands, trainings and team days on noticeboards.
Tips for a QR code that always scans
- Times are saved in the scanner's local time zone, so add the zone in the details for international events.
- Put the address in the location field so map apps can find it.
- Add a link to tickets or the livestream in the details field.
Event QR code FAQ
Which calendars does this work with?
It uses the standard iCalendar format. Most Android phones import it directly, and on iPhone some camera apps show it as text, so test with your audience's phones.
Can I add a reminder?
Reminders are set by each person's calendar app, using their own default alerts.
What if the event changes?
Update the event in your dashboard. Anyone who scans the printed code afterwards gets the new date, time and place.
