How to make a QR code with your logo

Open the generator, enter your content, choose a design and download your finished code. You can get started free with no card needed. This guide covers the choices that matter before you put a QR code on a menu, flyer or business card.

  1. 1. Choose what the code should open

Use a link QR code for a website, online menu, booking page or document that is already hosted online. Paste the full address, including https://. QR Maker links to your page; it does not host your menu or PDF for you. Open the address yourself first to make sure visitors can access it without your login.

Choose vCard to share contact details, or Wi-Fi to help guests join a network. The other types can prepare an email, a call, a text message, a WhatsApp chat, an event or a location.

  2. 2. Add your content and check it

Fill in the fields for your chosen type. Include the country code in phone numbers and double-check email addresses. For Wi-Fi, copy the network name and password exactly, including capital letters, and choose the matching security type. Use a guest network when sharing access publicly.

  3. 3. Style the code and add a logo

Choose your colors, pattern, corners and frame in the design panel. Upload a logo in the Logo tab. A dark pattern on a plain, light background is easiest to read. Keep the clear margin around the pattern and avoid placing text or artwork over it. A frame label such as “Scan for the menu” tells people what to expect.

The on-screen preview shows the design. It uses a sample destination, so check the actual content by scanning your downloaded code. Keep your logo small enough that the final code scans reliably on different phones.

  4. 4. Sign in and download PNG or SVG

Choose a file format and select Download. Sign in or create an account when prompted; your code is saved to your dashboard. Use PNG for presentations, documents and online images. Choose SVG for print layouts when your design software accepts it: vector artwork stays sharp as you resize it. For a PNG, use a larger export rather than stretching a small image.

An account is required for downloads. You can see the available plans before creating one.

  5. 5. Scan the file, then test a printed sample

Scan the downloaded code with more than one phone. Check the destination, any contact details and every action you expect it to perform. Print a sample at its final size and test it in the lighting and at the distance people will use it. A code that works close to a bright screen may be harder to read on glossy packaging or a distant poster.

For a code read at arm’s length, start around 2–3 cm wide and increase the size if scanning is difficult. Longer scanning distances and denser patterns need larger prints. Keep the margin clear and avoid folds, curved surfaces and glare where possible. A successful test of your final layout matters more than any single size rule.

Can I change a QR code after printing?

QR Maker’s dynamic codes use a short link. Edit their content from your dashboard and keep the same printed pattern. You can also view scan statistics there. Wi-Fi is the exception: the network details are encoded directly in the pattern, so changing them requires a new code and a new print. Wi-Fi codes do not report scans to QR Maker.
